About this debate

Recent discussions have arisen around BLACKPINK Lisa's visit to a baby monkey that went viral, with some criticizing her for not addressing political issues. This raises the question of whether individuals who gain fame from viral moments have a duty to use their platform for discussing wider social or political issues.

Absolutely not. They already spend so much time on their content, how are they supposed to address social issues as well? It can also alienate parts of their audience and it is unfair to place that responsibility on them. It would be like asking a carpenter to fix a Tesla.

Rationale:The argument is mostly relevant to the debate topic, focusing on the potential burden and audience alienation viral stars might face. However, it contains a fallacy by using an analogy that oversimplifies the issue, comparing content creation to carpentry. The argument is moderately logical but lacks depth in factual support.
