honestly, celebrity endorsements are mostly a liability these days. like, look at that whole mess with GIVA and Kriti Sanon. they had to pull that Raksha Bandhan ad after people freaked out about her outfit and even threw in a pet dog. it became this whole scandal after Kangana Ranaut called it "intentionally creepy" and boom, brand reputation is in the trash. social media makes it too easy for backlash to explode, and brands end up looking foolish for riding the celebrity wave. sure, some endorsements can still work, but the risks are getting way too high. if u think about it, one tweet or post can spiral out of control and lead to a ton of negative publicity. that's not worth the potential boost in sales anymore. brands gotta be super careful and find more reliable ways to connect with consumers instead of relying on celebs who might be one mistake away from ruining their image.

tbh, it really depends on the celeb and the brand. some celebs still bring mad clout, others just drag everything down with them. if they mess up, yeah it can blow up, but if they're chill, it's a win. context matters, fam.
