About this debate

The US-Israel coalition launched strikes on Tehran while Iran retaliated across the Gulf. With 6 US service members killed and the conflict entering its third week, was military force the right call or should diplomacy have led?

Diplomacy should have come first1 take

Diplomacy should have come first because showing strength can deter adversaries, however, aggressive military action and then posting edits on social media will escalate the conflict, rather then deterring them. Diplomacy provides an opportunity to deescalate, and pursue long term solutions

Rationale:The argument correctly identifies the potential for military action to escalate conflicts, which is supported by the web search results detailing recent military actions and their consequences. However, the claim about social media edits escalating conflict lacks direct evidence from the search results. The argument is mostly free from logical fallacies and stays relevant to the debate topic. It balances logic and emotion by advocating for diplomacy as a means to deescalate and find long-term solutions.
